  Flexi Block  

The product that stands up, stands out.

The ‘Flexiblock’ is the packaging system that has evolved from the rich packaging experience of 30 years. With the in-depth knowledge of the product and packaging material behavior and knowing the exact requirements of the clients, Nichrome has developed a system to produce the ‘Brick shaped’ pouches that give stand-up characteristics, reusable feature & display value to the pack on the shelf.

These Brick-shaped pouches with good aesthetics, stand-up characteristics & compact shape give a winning edge to the product and earn the shelf space in the supermarkets. In addition, the size of the cartons for secondary packing is reduced and in turn cost on logistics of the product. These brick packs can also be stacked over one another and can be shrink wrapped together for transportation avoiding the cartons.

The Flexiblock System developed by Nichrome is synchronized with the bagging machine. This unit has a linear indexing system that produces brick type pouches. This system consists of the following stations:
1) Pouch feeding into carousal system
2) Vibration mode to settle the product to optimize level
3) Sealing and trimming of excess laminate
4) Top flap bending and sealing

Flexiblock system also comes with Automatic taping attachment to form the Air Less Tape Down (ALTD) pouches. This ALTD attachment makes the pack re-usable and convenient.

A variety of products can be packed in these Brick-type pouches viz. Rice, Sugar, Grains & Pulses, Tea, Coffee, Detergents & many more.

  Baling Machine  

Nichrome offers Baling machines from a world leader name in Baling solutions- Raumak, Bazil, to pack flexible pouches of grains, powders and liquids in compact flexible baling bags that form the secondary packaging. These bales can either be distributed on their own or be packed in cartons or put on pallets for distribution. These bales will replace high cost cartoning option or the manual, disorderly packing of pouches in PP/HDPE woven sacks presently being done in India. Baling automates the entire secondary packing process and saves labour, time and space for the customer and provides a hygienic, modern secondary packing process.
Baling is most cost effective and is being used in other developing countries.

The baling machine is connected to the packaging machine. According to the product, production, speed and bale adjustment it can be connected to up to 2 or 3 packing machines.

A typical Baler consists of:
  • Press feed conveyor
  • Special pouch feeder system
  • Fast dump conveyor after the press feed conveyor
  • Electrical control panel
  • The main machine assembly consisting of sealing mechanism and other controls
  • Set of spares

The Multibaler does all the process of baling automatically, being able to eliminate the manual work of up to 4 people and absorbing production of 2 packaging machines, depending on the production.

  Collation Solutions  

This involves creating a box out of secondary packing to suit a given pouch combination and automatic insertion of pouches in to the box to have a good stand up display for the products.
Ideally suitable for: Small pouches/sachets of Soup mixes, Shampoo, Liquid soap etc.

  Strip Folding and Collating  

Certain products in retail segments have to be displayed in a strip or a string. These strips or strings are required to be folded and then packed in secondary packing. We offer customized solution for specific products or combination of strings or strips of products.

This is also a customized solution where in complete cartoning line can be engineered to suit a particular product or combination of different production lines. These can be supplemented by other ancillary processes such as conveying & strapping with final shrink wrapping.
