The History of Nichrome
Mr. Vinayak Ramchandra Paranjape founded the company 'Nichrome Metal Works' in the year 1948, a year after the Indian independence. The water came roaring into the city in less than 8 minutes and washed away its coasts in no time. Nichrome being situated at the banks of the river was flooded completely. Most of its machineries, steel and other raw material were washed away along with the building itself. Thanks to the daredevil team of Nichrome; as they risked their lives and tied some heavy machinery to the iron beams, some part of it was saved.
