Responsibilities:

New product & new technology development.

• Design & develop mechanical system solutions based on engineering principles. Support design decisions with analysis and calculations, as required.

• Drafting of mechanical components and sub-assemblies in solid edge 3D software. Provide 3D modelling in Solid edge of all solutions developed.

Automation (E&C) Engineer

Job Objective:

Automation engineer/expert is responsible for the design, configuration and integration of control systems of machines involving motion control, Pneumatics associated with IOT interface. Additionally, he will provide set up and start up of hardware and software for the PLC, Variable frequency drives, Servo drives, Stepper drives, control and communication networks and other miscellaneous electrical hardware and software.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical Panel design
• Create and build modular selectable BOM for electrical and automation system;
• Create and design Electrical interfacing drawings of international safety standards;
• Create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming (PLC, HMI, Servo drive, Stepper drive, VFD), simulation, testing and start up;
• Specify, design and build modular selectable programs to be installed on the equipment;
• Ensure designed software is associated with compatible communication ports supporting IOT interface;
• System monitoring, debugging and troubleshooting operational problems;
• Select and configure other automation devices such as VFDs, Servo systems, Stepper motor controls for automation/control;
• Involve in New Product development design process in view of optimum sizing of motion control devices such as Stepper/Induction/Servo motors;
• Modify existing programs from customer requirements;
• Provide guidance to Field Service Engineers in programming, repair, installation and maintenance of PLC systems;
• Participate in customer complaint analysis and resolution;
• Provide technical support in developing and improving processes;

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or related field preferred;
• 5 or more year’s experience in PLC programming required; C++ and Embedded C Programing
• Strong knowledge of interfacing analog systems, strain gauge load cell and third part interface;
• Proficiency with multiple manufacturers automation hardware and software including, but not limited to, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Omron, Delta, Trio and Mitsubishi;
• Sound knowledge of different communication protocols and IOT proficiency;
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred;
• Experience reading and modifying electrical control schematics;
