The 5th edition of IndusFood, South Asia’s largest integrated trade show for the F&B and food tech industries, was organised by Trade Promotion Council of India on January 8-10, 2022 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.
TPCI MSME Export Excellence Awards 2022 were also held on the eve of Indusfood to honour the most exemplary achievers in the Indian F&B and food processing technology sectors over the previous year. 30 companies across various categories bagged the awards. Shri Narayan Rane, Hon’ble Minister of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, was the Chief Guest for the awards function,which was also graced by the presence of Shri S. Muniswamy, Hon’ble MP, Lok Sabha.

Nichrome excels at NCQC 2017
The National Convention on Quality Concepts 2017 was held at JSS Science & Technology University, Mysuru from 1-4 Dec. 2017. The 31st Edition of NCQC organised by QCFI was based on the theme 'Quality Concepts: Creating Value to the Society'.
In the Quality Problem QC Circle, the Nichrome team was rated 'Excellent' for its presentation. A proud moment for all Nichromians and for Nichrome, where problem-solving and high quality standards are a way of life.
Intelpack
This year Nichrome showcased a modest stall at Intelpack 2017 which was held in Mumbai from the 26th-28th September. At the stall, Nichrome exhibited two new systems: Flexibale 450 and Nichrome Milk Pouch Crating System.Both these systems marked their forayinto the world of Secondary Packaging.
'Packing a crunch' at PackEx 2017
The Nichrome stall at PackEx, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 21-23 August 2017, displayed Nichrome's prowess in Snack Packaging. The highlight of the stall was Nichrome's new snack packaging machine: SnackPack Sprint 250 Continuous. With its Multihead Filler and PLC Controller, SnackPack Sprint 250 Continuous delivers speed, accuracy and reliable sealing for packing puffed snacks, namkeen, wafers, macaroni, biscuits, breakfast cereals, kurkure, dry fruits, etc. The new Data-over-Internet feature enables customers to access machine information via Cloud computing from anywhere, any time.
Nichrome sparkles at PackPlus South 2017
The Nichrome stall at PackPlus South, Bangalore, 7-10 April 2017, received an overwhelming response! On display was Nichrome's new launch: SnackPack Sprint 250 Continuous. This high-speed, HACCP & GMP compatible snack packaging machine offers an exciting new feature - data over internet. So customers can access machine information via Cloud computing from anywhere, any time.

Nichrome and DOW partner for better milk packaging
Nichrome is partnering with DOW Packaging & Specialty Plastics to develop packaging material suited for high speed operation of milk pouch filling machines for Filpack Servo 12K, fastest milk packaging machine. This is a unique initiative aimed at delivering the optimal, leak-proof solution which assures efficiency of the process, preserves freshness of the product and delivers cost-efficiency with minimal wastage.
Two new machines launched at PackEx India 2016!
PackEx India 2016 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon East, Mumbai, was an overwhelming success. Attracting eyeballs was our Nichromian who strolled through the stall and introduced the guests to Nichrome's state-of-the-art machines.
Two new machines took centre stage at the exhibition. The first was the new high speed champion: Maxima 200 - for packaging powders, ground spices, blended spices, dairy whitener, soup mixes, pre-mix powders & other granular products. Accurate and compact, Maxima 200 with Servo Auger is CE compliant and offers an impressive bagger speed of 200 CSPP pouches per minute.
The other exciting launch in the spotlight was Athena Automatic Tray Sealing machine from Tecnovac, Italy. This range of thermoforming & tray sealing machines is able to seal and pack all types of trays or jars in a protective atmosphere (vacuum + gas) or with 'skin' effect. Due to its strong stainless steel structure and easy maintenance, Athena is ideal for use in small and medium sized food companies. Applications include cut vegetables & fruits, meats, fish, ready-to-eat meals, snacks, etc.
NICHROME QUALITY CERTIFIED AGAIN!
Nichrome's ISO 22000:2005 for Food Safety Management System has been successfully renewed and is now valid from May 2016 to May 2019.
Nichrome has also successfully upgraded their Quality Management system from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015, which will be valid from July 2016 to July 2019.
These certifications are important statements proving Nichrome's commitment to quality at all levels. Nichrome India to promote its Pick-Fill-Seal Machine at Intelpack-2015
Intelpack-2015, the 14th edition of the longest running packaging show, which will be held at Mumbai on the 14th, 15th and 16th of April, 2015, will see the renowned packaging machine manufacturer, Nichrome India, showcasing its Pick-Fill-Seal Machine (PFS Machine).The machine uses advanced European technology to cater to all the filling and packing needs of the manufacturers of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products.
To manufacture the PFS machines in India, Nichrome has collaborated, via a technology licensing arrangement, with Spanish HFFS technology specialist, Totpack. The European core technology and Nichrome’s application expertise gives manufacturers the combined benefits of productivity, variety and specialty packaging for ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products (RTE foods).
The PFS Machine is a variant of packaging technology that enables 2 different fillers to dispense different types of ingredients in the same pouch. The specially designed RTE filler can dose Indian curry based products of heterogeneous nature, through gentle handling and without damaging the ingredients. The pouches packed using this PFS machine can be later subjected to the retort process for longer shelf life. The compact and small machine footprint also helps in saving space.
The PFS Machine can be used to conveniently pack a wide variety of RTE foods like PalakPaneer, Dal Makhani, etc. It provides a cost-effective packaging solution with multiple filler options like Visco Filler, Servo Auger Filler, Volumetric Cup Filler, Multi-Head Weighers, and others. It can also be used to pack products like ginger garlic paste, vegetable seeds, instant mixes, nutraceuticals, namkeen, grains, dry fruits and liquid products in pre-formed, flexible, retail-display friendly pouches. Nichrome India Appoints Hemant Ogale as Managing Director
India, May 2014: Nichrome India Ltd. has appointed Hemant Ogale as Managing Director of the company effective March 3rd, 2014.
Hemant Ogale brings a rich experience of over 30 years in diverse sectors like Engineering, Sales and Marketing. He started his career as an Entrepreneur and introduced the concept of mechanized milking in India in the form of Milking Machines for cows & buffaloes. He went on to set-up a greenfield project for an MNC. Thereafter he was involved in managing the supply chain for one of India’s leading brands in the food sector. During the course of his career he has been involved in the manufacturing and sales of a wide range of Products such as Dairy Equipment’s, consumer Dairy Products, liquid & solid waste handling equipment’s &heading a luxury car dealership.
He possessesextensive experience in dealing with foreign collaborators, setting up of a‘state of the art’ manufacturing facility and also setting-up a national sales and service network. During his career he has built-up an extensive "network of contacts"? across all states in India with Dairy Co-Operatives and Private Sector as well as Industries. He was involved in active lobbying with Agri& related ministries for securing tax exemptions.
A Mechanical Engineer from Mumbai University, Hemant Ogale has undergone training in International Program in Management at IMD Lausanne and Business Environment & Strategy at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Nichrome participates in Interpack 2014
Interpack, world’s biggest packaging show was scheduled between 8th and 14th may 2014 at Dusseldorf, Germany this year. Exhibitors from all over the world participated in this exhibition to showcase their technology and strengths.
Nichrome has been always ahead in bringing the latest technology with the highest performance to the users of flexible packaging in India and abroad. Nichrome was present at the Interpack at Hall 6 E 16 with a 60 sq m stall and it showcased two of its modern, state of the art technologies in Horizontal FFS and VFFS Multilane. Both these technologies received a great response from the industry. Many interested buyers from Africa, Middle East, South America, Australia, Europe and the South East Asia visited Nichrome’s stall and showed interest and appreciation on the Technical edge. Many of the company’s esteemed Indian customers also visited.
